i'm an aunt!!!

i became an aunt today. i always thought that i would be an uncle first...but, I guess God has better plans for me...i was made an aunt...by the wonderful, wonderful arrival of Hannah Kamilla. my very own niece...that i could spoil rotten, that i could be all crazy with and hopefully she'll inherit some 'traits' of mine...heheheh...and give color to her family.

to my mell, congratulations on a job well done. like mama told you, i would've asked for the epidural at the slightest hint of pain...but you decided to get all 'high' on gas...hmm...maybe it's something for me to think of, eh? ;-p

LA Part 1

well, the long awaited trip to LA finally arrived. been looking forward to this trip for the longest time. ever since the wife left, to be exact. but here's the thing, i usually get all excited and would start packing like say, a month before...hahahah, but this time round, i only started packing the day before.

so, disebabkan aku ni memang lah jakun...haha!!! i made sure we arrived extra early, just so we could enjoy the lounge. harus lah mengambil gambar gitu. so, here are the pics that i've managed to snap. i know, i know, it might gross some people out when i post pics of the restroom...but who the ham cares...it's my blog, i get to post whatever it is that i want, aight???

oh, and you ready for this? they even have a sleeping area for those tired eyes to take a nap or something. very cozy kan?



and this is where you lepak-lepak while waiting for you flight, you can makan-makan, watch TV and also surf the net. eh! macam iklan untuk golden lounge la pulak-pulak. one thing's for sure, service memang A+...and the food is simply divine!!


we so engrossed with enjoying and pampering ourselves at the lounge, we were the last passengers to board the flight. mesti seme crew berbulu...heheheh...aiyerr...takpe maaahhhh...sekali sekala bercuti...hehehhe

reopening dottology

whoa!!! has it really been this long?? really??? really really??? wow!! tu laaa...orang lain start blogging...awak pun nak start blogging...lepas tu...biar je bersawang.

I started this blog aeons ago cos i thought i could use it to keep in touch with the wife (...err...don't ask) who was setting herself free in the land of the free...heheh got it...?? setting herself free...in the land of the free?? never mind...

then...life happened. a lot of s**t happened in my life...i just had to abandon this blog for a while...for a LONG while...heck! back then, I couldn't even breathe properly...how the ham am i supposed to maintain a blog, right?

so, now...things are more or less, less s**ty...i have some time for myself...hence the decision to reopen this blog. I hope this year i'll be able to post more than 3 posts (haha!!!!!)...and will be more regular.

Mouth Jewellery no more...

Today I took off my braces...well, I didn't take it off myself...the dentist had to do it for me. After three years of having 'mouth jewellery' my reaction to this sudden freedom of stainless steel and rubber in my mouth is somewhat mixed.

On one hand I'm really, really glad that I no longer have to be extra 'perasan' whenever I eat, especially bread (!!!) You know, afraid of having tiny bits of chilli or some form of green veggie stuck somewhere in between my teeth...or even worst, bread bits...that sorta look as if I've just had sawdust for lunch!

On the other hand, I kinda miss them. I do! A friend told me that I'd feel 'naked' once I take them out...I think in a weird way, she does have a point.

I do feel kinda naked.

It's funny how...

...when you think you know a person throughout his/her entire life, only to find out later that you don't know him/her that much after all....

This is why I never learn...

This is a classic Dotty. I manage to pull this particular stunt with a lot of success all the freaking time. You see, I have this thing with buying things or rather not buying them. I go somewhere, see something I like, try it on, then...leave. Yes, you're reading this right...I would walk off from that place. Leave. I would make like a tree and leave. Then I'd go back home...and wouldn't be able to sleep...thinking about the damn thing that I didn't get...and, this one happens 9 out of 10 times, when, after a few days later...even weeks at times...I go back to the place to get the thing that I should've bought the first time round, the particular thing would be gone. Sold out. It happens ALL the time. All the freaking time!!!

This time it was a pair of sandals from Clarks. Saw it a few weeks ago. Fell head over heels in love with them. Tried them on...and, then I left...I wouldn't have expected anything less from me...after all I do have a standard to maintain. I went home. Went through the period of not being able to sleep because I was thinking about how comfortable they were, how nice they looked on my feet and how I MUST have them. Now! Right now!!! And sure enough, yesterday, when I finally went back to the boutique with the intention to buy them, ...they are no longer in stock! Finished! All gone! GONE!!! Went over to MidValley...then to Putrajaya...then on to Jusco Maluri. Nope. No longer in stock.

Why??? WHYYYY???? Whhhyyy???? Why do I pull this kind of stunts??? Why??? Perhaps I wasn't tortured enough as a kid and therefore somehow have this hidden need to be constantly tortured. Perhaps, I get kicks out of doing this. Or perhaps...I'm just an idiot!

Eureka!!! This is why I never learn...I'm just an idiot!
